Vadodara: Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has begun to investigate videos that have become viral showing the import team that releases livestock.
The Civic body has faced heat after the State President of BJP C R Paatil is critical of the handling of VMC from the threat of livestock.
The two videos circulated widely showed a man approaching the livestock party.
Other shows party members who released three cows from transportation vehicles used to bring livestock concluded.
Director of encroachment and security at VMC, Dr.
Mangesh Jaiswal said that the investigation had begun and the statement of party members was recorded.
He said that the team included one supervisor, eight catchers and two other members.
The police were also posted together with the team.
Jaiswal said that livestock was released in an isolated place near Hajira on Jalan Jayratna Building.
It is believed that livestock was confiscated from the Navapura area.
“They don’t have the authority to free them as soon as they confiscate livestock,” he added.
