With less than two weeks to go for the election of the State Assembly, it would be interesting to see if there was an opponent to make a dent in the Fishswangit Rane’s Fortress of Valpoi.
Vishwajit has represented Valpoi since 2007 when he contested as independent.
Then, whether it is with Congress or BJP, his relationship to constituencies cannot be solved.
In 2017, when Vishwajit was contested to the Congress ticket, he defeated the candidate BJP Satayavijay rose by 5,678 votes.
When he resigned and against Bypoll five months later on BJP tickets, his victory margin passed 10,000 votes.
Many have tried, and failed, to disappoint opportunities in the past.
Former Head of Mahohar Mahohar Parragar, for example, camping in Valpoi for the 2010 election to defeat Vishwajit, without results.
His opponents will try again.
This includes the Head of the Manoj Revolutionary Party Party (RGP), which has made the right to land and the main problem of unemployment.
Congress has deployed a member of Panch Usgao Uisha Shenvi Usgaonkar, the MGP-TMC Alliance candidate is Vishwesh Prabhu, while AAP has lowered Satyavijay up.
“There is very little that can stop vishwajit here.
What we have to see is the margin of victory,” said a political observer from the election.
Vishwangit power can be measured from the fact that it is supported by maximum members of various Panchayats and members of the Valpoi City Council Board.
Adding his strength is his wife Deviya, who has worked here for several months.
“Deviya is connected with a self-help group in Valpoi and Poriem.
This will help in getting a female voice,” Valpoi said.
According to other villagers, Vishwajit adopted the same strategy that he used for Bypolls 2017.
During his angle meeting in its electoral areas dominated by a minority, the Minister of Health had urged people not to look at the party.
“You don’t see BJP or party.
I was there for the people of Sattari,” Vishwajit said to the voters.
Local MLA has remained loyal to his words.
In run-up to Bypolls 2017, Vishwajit has promised work to constituents.
He had to wait for a long time but lately in a big recruitment drive, he learned to get forth, according to sources in the government.
Last year, the election witnessed one of the largest agritations in the state for the past few years rather than the allocation of almost 10 square meters of land to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Goa) to establish its campus.
After a six-month protest by the residents of Shel-Melauli Village, the state government decided to shift the proposed project from the election.
A month ago, the villagers began their protests, demanding that criminal cases submitted to 40 drawn and land protesters allocated to be informed.
Vishwajit hasn’t visited Shel-Pelapa to find village population support.
It would be interesting to see if this problem was good enough for the opponent to make a breakthrough to Bastion Rane.
