Mangaluru: District health department officials have expressed concern for students from Kerala often to their hometown.
On several occasions, officials have noticed the failure of their section to comply with the quarantine rules set by the district administration.
Although students between countries studying in various medical, paramedics and colleges in the district have been asked to remain in quarantine for seven days in their room, after they returned from Kerala, most of them were found hanging around and present classes.
As many as 20 students, all from Kerala, were tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 10 days.
Likewise, in recent months, during the second wave of pandemic, several students on campus were tested positive for Covid-19.
In August, 58 cases were reported on campus in the city, and the majority of them were students from Kerala.
