New Delhi: The train plans to introduce Vistadome coach on the Shatabdi train on three routes; From Delhi to Dehradun, Kathgodam and Kalka.
It aims to provide choices to passengers to enjoy the beautiful beauty of the area when they take this train.
These three rail links attract a large number of tourists.
Vistadome is a sophisticated coach designed to provide passengers with the comfort of travel and the experience of watching their enhanced environment.
These features include a wide transparent window panel and glass roof, chairs that can be played at 180 degrees and pushback seats.
Vistadome coach on the LHB platform can run at a maximum speed of up to 160 KMPJ and one coach can accommodate 42-44 passengers.
The coach has a lounge observation with a larger window on the tip wall and also has an electrically controlled glass opalesension window on the roof.
It also has a kitchenette and service area that has a hot case, microwave, coffee maker, bottle cooler, refrigerator and sink.
The coach is also equipped with a public address of the GPS address of the passenger information system.
The source said a vistadome coach will each be added to the 18-coach Shatabdi train from Delhi to Dehradun, Kathgodam and Kalka.
Rates will be 1.1 times or 10% more than the basic rates of the executive class from this main train.
The Indian train has set a target to introduce 90 Vistadome trainers in March 2022 to meet the growing demand from tourists.
In his presentation before Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently, the train Ministry said this as one of the few targets set for the current financial year.
At present, the train has around 41 vistadome coaches with a maximum of 15 which operates on the narrow gauge route of Kalka-Shimla.
