Vadodara: Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has decided to take back 46 plots that have been allocated for various organizations for the purpose of afforestation in the city.
The decision was taken after the big line erupted when it was revealed that the plot was used for purposes other than plantations.
The plot was awarded by the Civic Agency to various organizations including led by politicians.
This happens to most of these plots there is no afforestation in the true sense.
Some puppies are planted while the remaining parts of the plot are being used for other use.
The controversy series erupted because it was revealed that politicians, including those in the top position, were related to several organizations that had secured the plot but almost did not take steps to add greenery.
When the BJP in power found members targeted, he began to look into the matters of the plot allocated for members of Congress.
However, Mayor Keyur Rokadia, on Thursday morning, announced that VMC took back all 46 plots allocated for afforestation.
“A resolution passed in 1991 to gave a plot below this setting.
