Ghaziabad: District will soon get the drug warehouse itself to store medical equipment.
New Buiding will be built in Modinagar at a cost of Rs 10 Crore.
Previously, the warehouse was operated from a rented place in the Kavi Nagar Industrial area where rented 3 lakh rented per month.
Chief Medical Officer Dr.
Bhavtosh ShanKhdhar said, “The proposal has been passed by the state government.
For this, 5,000 square meters, which is included in the local Nagar Palika Parishad, has been identified in Bisokhar Road in Modinagar.” All medical supplies from Uttar Pradesh Medical Supplies Corporation Limited (UPMCL) will arrive in the building and then be supplied to all hospitals, community health centers (CHCS) and Primary Health Center (PHC) in the district, he added.
“The rented warehouse has been available since 2019.
Previously, it was located in the CMO office,” said Singh’s In-Charge Law.
Warehouse construction is expected soon.
Officials said state-owned buildings will also have various facilities.
Meanwhile, the government’s approval for hospital 50 beds in Vijay Nagar is immediately expected.
Officials said the estimated hospital costs were around Rs 22 Crore.
“This file with the government and final approval is expected immediately.
Land is already there and after approval comes, construction work will begin.
Funds will be released in phase,” he added.
