Ahmedabad: Minister Gujarat Minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday was approved by various RS 40.44 crore water supply schemes in five cities under Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana to facilitate the availability of drinking water.
Patel has given RS 7.58 Crore to Pati Municipality from the Surendranagar District, RS 8.37 Crore to Dhrol Municipality of Jamnagar and Rs 11.58 Crore to bottle for this purpose.
RS 2.18 Crore has been allocated for Chhotaudepur municipality and RS 10.56 Crore has been allocated to Santtrampur Municipality.
The State Urban Development Department has made this proposal by following the estimated population water needs in these cities in 2051-52.
The 250 mm dhrol pipe in the existing dhrol municipality for more than 30 years will be replaced at a cost of Rs 8.37 Crore.
