Kolkata: Restrictions 11 PM-5AM night is expected to return after Wednesday.
In the previous order on September 30, the state has allowed windows on October 10 to October 20 to allow the movement of people and vehicles because of the celebration.
However, the order of September 30 explained that except this window, the night limitation would remain effective until October 31.
The main secretary of H K Dwivedi on Tuesday led a meeting with all district judges and urged them to maintain strict Covid guidelines.
Bengal Narayan Health Secretary Narup Nigam also attended the meeting.
“The night limitation tends to continue,” said a senior official, added, “The Bengali government has taken into account the date of the festival of all communities before allowing this relaxation.” The official said the next celebration period with Puja Kali, Diwali, Bhai Duj, Chhath, Jagadhhatri Puja started from November the first week.
“If there is a decision taken in further relaxation, it will apply in November.
CM will make the last call based on all inputs,” he added.
DM was asked to maintain a sharp surprise in the Covid case cluster in the district.
Because of the high leucorrhoea level of more than 98%, active cases did not see the main surge during the festival days.
