Kolkata: Raiganj Mla Krishna Kalyani, who was presented a show notice on October 1 for alleged anti-party comments, returned to the Trinamool Congress on Wednesday.
Kalyani is the fifth BJP legislator to change loyalty.
Former President of North Dinajpur District from Trinamool, he joined BJP ahead of the election of the assembly earlier this year and was revealed from Raiganj.
He returned to the TMC fold in front of the partner Secretary of the Parta Chatterjee and Mla Vivek Gupta.
Kalyani was at odds with brass Saffron for some time with the former Union Minister Debasree Choudhury running BJP affairs in North Norajpur.
“No one who appreciates yourself can work freely at BJP.
If someone wants to do good as MLA, he is not permitted to do it in BJP.
There is always a conspiracy and I am a victim,” he told reporters at the TMC headquarters here.
MLA said he was also annoyed with the policy of “anti-people” from the center, which “hasn’t taken one step” to check the price of spiral fuel.
“I feel more felt I can’t be part of BJP anymore.
If I don’t speak support the welfare policy of the welfare of Banerjee before assembling the poll, I made a mistake, what I want to finish now,” he said.
Reacting to developments, the State President of BJP Sukanta Majumder said Kalyani had to explain how he suddenly “woke up” with the policy of Mamata Banerjee.
“He will get a full reply from the people Raiganj in the future,” Majumder said, adding that Kalyani joined TMC to serve his personal interests.
Kalyani had come out of BJP earlier this month, but did not resign as MLA.
Previously, BJP’s Krishnanagar North Mla hit Roy, Bishnupur MLA Tanmay Ghosh, Bagdah MLA Biswahit Das and Kalkan Mla Soumen Roy joined TMC, besides Astansol MP Babul Supriyo.
Turncoat MLA has not resigned from assembly or disqualified under the anti-defection law.
Supriyo even though he put the papers.
Trinamool has won 213 seats in assembly elections in April-May and bagged Samserganj and Jangipur at Bypolls earlier this month, taking the calculation to 214 members of the house.
BJP has won 77 seats in assembly elections.
Dinhata Mla Nisith Pramanik and Santipur Mla Jagannath Sarkar then resigned to maintain their MP seat.
