Mangaluru: The weekend hours have affected the business of nearly 500 beauty homes in the city.
Although beauticians in the district have suffered a lot of discomfort, because of the pandemic, locking, and limitation of Covid-19, the brotherhood has not received support from the government.
Apart from all these problems, the government has introduced weekend wednesday, which has added their misery.
Mangalore’s beautician association members said that nearly 25 homes had been closed for maintaining financial losses in the past two years.
The Association of Beautician Mangalore Women President Babitha U Shetty told TII, that the relationship with nearly 350 members, has accumulated the status details of all beauty homes.
“Many have closed the vice because of financial burdens and bank loans.
Weekend curfew can cause a severe financial crisis, and the owner of the beauty salon may be forced to take extreme steps,” he said.
“We only get around four to five customers on weekends.
We have followed all government guidelines, while attending our customers on Saturday and Sunday,” he said, and urged the government to attract orders for weekend hours.
Jessica Kiran, Association member, said, “Cosmetics and other items filled in most of the beauty homes are increasingly expired, and they cannot be used again.
Despite facing such difficulties, we pay for a trade license and run a business legally.
We Has sent a memorandum to the main minister, telling our fate over the past two years, because of the pandemic and locking.
We have gone through hard phases of financial losses, and many of us also have commitment to our family.
“Other members, Shalet Pinto, said the owner of the salon Beauty feels difficult to get a loan from the bank.
Members regret that they did not get a loan from the bank because of a pandemic.
“Previously, there was a good offer from the bank, and Cibil scores used to be at a good level.
However, because of a bad financial situation in the background of the pandemic, Cibil’s score has also gone under benchmarks, and the bank rejects loan offerings,” Para said That member.
