Kolkata: young people aged 15 to 18 can register and order vaccination slots on co-win or just walk to the center to be shot.
They can also use their school ID cards as identity documents for registration.
The Bengal government allowed this condition towards the roll-out of the inoculation drive for 48 strange teenagers on Monday.
The state also offers to help school establish vaccination sites on campus.
In a meeting with a private hospital on Friday, Narayan Narayan Narayan Secretary Nigam emphasized the need for inventory to Covaxin, the only vaccine allowed for the 15-18 year age group.
Three Senior Health Officers – Saumitra Mohan, Y Ratnakara Rao and Rehana Bashir – will lead roll-out.
“The new recipient will be those whose year of birth is 2007 or before.
They will be given Covaxin, according to the central guidelines.
They can register and order slots on co-Win.
Those who do not have access to the portal, verification or vaccination in the centers will be Help register and order slots in place, “said a health official.
District judges have been advised to meet health officials, civil society and district to complete the plan.
The state has provided a nod to establish a vaccination camp on campus.
Toi has reported that several private schools have been tied with private hospitals for camps.
The state will also request data on class IX-XII students.
A health official said, “Schools will be actively involved.
All officials have been asked to prepare their school list and students who meet the requirements –tia at IX to XII – and their contact details.
The school will have a nodal officer who will coordinate with health officials.” He added that the Covid Vaccination Center (CVCS) can be arranged in place, with the waiting area, vaccination room, and observation room in place.
“The Ministry of Health will provide support with adequate vaccinators and other logistics,” he said.
