Kolkata: The day after the results of the poll announced, West Bengal Bengal made a major change in state organizations carrying a number of new faces.
Changes are made well at the level of Secretary General and Vice President.
Bengal President BJP Sukanta Majumdar flew to New Delhi to attend a meeting of organizations led by the National President J P Nadda on Thursday.
While the Hooghly Chatterjee MP Lontjee and Bagmundi MP Jyotirmay Singh Mahanato was maintained as Secretary General, Mlaas Agnimitra Paul and Barman’s dipak was appointed as Secretary General.
Jagannath Chattopadhyay was also appointed as Secretary General of the State State Unit.
Rathin Bose and Sanjay Singh, a former Secretary General, was appointed as Vice President of the State Unit.
Pratap Banerjee, Jayprakash Majumdar, Biswapriyo Roy Chowdhury and Ritesh Tiwari was dropped from the Vice President Post.
Saumitra Khan, who was heading to Yuva Morcha, was appointed as vice president while Indranil Khan was appointed as President Yuva Morcha.
Tanuja Chakraborty was made to become President of Mahila Morcha from BJP Bengal.
At the organization’s meeting on Wednesday, the day after the results of the poll came out, the BJP board showed that they could win at 12 wards having a free and fair poll.
“There are at least three wards including Ward 42 where our candidates are defeated by 1,000-1,100 votes.
At Borough 4 we have a voice share of 20% while more than 14% of votes are bagged in Borough 8 and 9,” said a BJP leader in Kolkata.
“We don’t get the share of the sound we should get.
TMC tries to give it a public mandate, but it’s not the real picture,” said Sukanta Majumdar.
