Kolkata: Bengal on Saturday passed a five-crore jabber sign, the last crore came in a record 18 days.
More than 12.33 lakh shots are given during the day and the data is still uploaded until late at night.
The highest authentic achievement for the country is 12.9 doses of lakh on August 31.
“We have reached another historical milestone by crossing 5 crore vaccination and ensuring at least one dose to 50% of the country’s eligible population,” said Director of Health Services Ajay.

With 48 lakh doses of bottles in Kitty State on Saturday morning, health officials activate 4,859 vaccination sites, set a target of around 15 doses of lakh for that day.

Health officials said better supply in terms of regularity and quantity had facilitated an increase in vaccination bars.

“We need a stable and adequate supply to set higher vaccination goals.
