Rome: Pope Francis temporarily suffered a fever three days after the intestinal surgery, but routine tests proved negative, the Vatican said Thursday.
The Vatican daily update said Francis continued to eat and moved around without help and even sent his greetings to young cancer patients at Gemelli Roma Hospital.
But spokesman Matteo Bruni said Francis did have an ‘episode of fever’ for a while Wednesday night.
This morning he underwent routine and microbiological examinations, and scanning chest and stomach, which proved negative, “said the statement.
