WhatsApp can go “Google Pay ‘way to increase the payment platform

According to a report on Wabeta, a website that tracks the upcoming changes to WhatsApp, the company is exercising to introduce the cashback feature.

This feature is currently being developed and cannot be accessed by users.
Wabetainfo also shares a screenshot of upcoming features.
Screenshot shared shows a new banner that displays above the list of chat on WhatsApp with a gift icon and a message that sounds, “Get cashback on your next payment” and “Tap to start”.
This report claims that the cashback feature will be limited to Indian users and that RS 10 upward payment may be eligible for cashbacks.
WhatsApp payment is based on UPI.
The company launched Beta WhatsApp payment in India in early 2018.
Service moved from Beta in November 2020.
Google Facebook rivals also offer UPI-based payment services, Google Pay.
Google Pay also offers money back and other benefits to use the platform for bills and bill payments.
