Last year, WhatsApp added a special payment button in the chat bar.
This button allows you to send money to users in chat without going to another tab.
Now, Facebook’s platform has also added the QR code scanner feature (Quick Response) for Indian users.
With new features, you can directly pay to the store, traders, or other users just by scanning the QR code.
The scanner allows you to send payments to users who are not in your contact list without typing at ID UPI.
For those who don’t know, QR Code is a square barcode that we scan with our smartphone cameras to make payments.
Popular payment applications such as Google Pay, Phoneepe, Paytm, Pay Amazon and several others have displayed the QR code scanner.
How to send payments via WhatsApp using QR Codethe QR Code Scanner is available for all WhatsApp users on the Android smartphone and iOS.
You must remember that the feature will only function for you if you have linked your ID UPI with WhatsApp payment services.
If you want to know how to send payments through a QR code on WhatsApp, you can follow these steps: Open WhatsApp on your smartphone.
Tap the camera icon or tap the ‘Scan QR Code Payment’ button in the payment section.
From the camera, focus on the QR code through it you want to send payment.
You will be able to see the pop-up message ‘UPI ID found’ along with the name and ID UPI from the user that the QR code you scan.
If the details are correct, tap continue.
Enter the amount you want to pay and tap Pay.
Enter your UPI PIN and tap Send.
You can also scan the QR code image stored in your mobile gallery.
Pay WhatsApp was launched in 2018 in India as part of Trail Run and after getting approval from the National Pay Corporation of India (NPCI), this service was officially launched to the public in 2020.
It offers a real-time payment system with over 227 banks and Life for all users throughout the country.
