New Delhi: For Konica Jha, studying BA (H) political science in Hindu College is a dream that has long been appreciated.
However, even though it was 95% in the XII Class XII exam, he could not secure a chair at the dream college this year.
Soaring Cutoff Marks at the University of Delhi (DU) has left several students in 90-95% bracket that is not satisfied because they cannot enter their chosen college.
“In the first cutoff, I cleaned Cutoff for Kalindi College for political science.
So I decided to receive a ticket to get there.
This is not my first choice, but nothing can be done now,” Jha said.
“All other universities have cutoff as high as 98% and 99% even in the next list and college where I make pieces with my mark is not too high ranked,” he added.
Many other people say that despite scoring high value in their council tests, they must be satisfied with lower ranking universities because the most popular college has a cutoff high sky.
Mohit rally, a du candidate with 95.6% on his board, said, “Even though I want to be a Hindu student or Hansraj College, I have to be satisfied with the College Rajdhani when Cutoff elsewhere is very high.
I am not happy with my current reception, And still looking for more options below the next list.
“With 95% on his board, Shubha Gupta hopes to secure the reception to the North Campus campus.
However, he hasn’t succeeded.
“I received an entrance ticket in Janki Devi Memorial College, but my dream was learning on the North Campus campus.
Cutoff is very high so it becomes impossible.
However, I am still looking forward to a better choice,” Gupta said.
Lavi Bharti, who scored 92%, echoed the gupta view.
“I have registered with Sundri College’s eyes, but will wait to see if the next list offers a better choice,” he said.
Some students also said that following the declaration of council results, they anticipated that DU would have a high cutoff and, therefore, taking reception at other universities.
Gurliv Kaur, who scored 96.25%, said, “I always want to study in one of the top 10 du colleges.
But so the results come out, I realize that I will not pass the psychology in the best universities – both LSR or Gagi .
cutoff in the first list itself up a few percentage points.
So I decided to accept admission to the University of Christ where I will pursue psychology.
“DU released the third cutoff list last Saturday for admission to the undergraduate program.
Many courses are no longer offered in more sought after colleges, and even available courses continue to have a high qualification bar.
