Pune: The American White Goods Giant Whirlpool has announced the opening of global technology and a new technical center (GTEC) in Pune to help companies in the manufacturing process and product lines.
Whirlpool does not disclose investment in his new GTEC facility, which is part of the global product organization division.
Iterations of previous facilities are also located in Pune.
The company said this new facility would further work on improvement and deliver new technology in its manufacture and products, based on artificial intelligence and machine learning, the process under the so-called industry 4.0, as well as the Internet of Things.
“The center in Pune will serve as a strategic partner for product products and global technology, providing the best solutions in its class in a particular domain,” said Kenneth Kleinhabung, VP techniques in the Global Whirlpool product organization.
In a statement to Ti, Whirlpool said his GTEC strength, which was also located in Pune, stood in more than 900, and would support the india and global manufacturing capabilities.
