Dharwad: The State Government of State will allocate funds in the annual budget to publish a series of books on important places in Karnataka, said Chairman of the Minister of Basavaraj Bomai.Speaking after inaugurating ChannaveAragouda Anna Patil Sangha (KVV) here on Sunday, CM said there was a tendency for distort history.
“The government, in an effort to set a direct record, will publish books in historical places that have contributed to Karnataka rich inheritance.
Dharwad is one such place that brings victory to this country by producing leading Ipotate, academics, sports , scholars, engineers, musicians, and artists among others, “he added.
The task of publishing history and culture of Dharwad will be assigned to KVV.
Who has played an important role in the unification of the Kannada Language Area to Karnataka and also the struggle for freedom, CM said.
Bommai said Dharwad would also be developed as an important industrial center with the establishment of the Chennai-Mumbai industrial corridor.
