Mysuru: Senior BJP MLA SA Ramadas has moved a private member bill in the Assembly to regulate illegal temples built after 2009 in the state.
Entitled Regularization of illegal Hindu Temple bills, 2021, it will appear for discussion on September 23.
Ramadas said he would appeal to members of Congress, including Siddaramaiiah and DK Shivakumar, and JD (s) HD members Kumaraswamy and HD Revanna to support the bill and rescue the temple.
“The absence of law to regulate Hindu temples has resulted in several demolition.
In other countries, the temple is protected from demolition through a separate law / government,” he said.
Ramadas added: “The bill allows shifting temples that cannot be arranged or causes serious discomfort for the public.
Competent authorities are proposed to regulate the Taluk level.
I will attract bills if the government decides to come out with new actions .
“We will rebuild the Temple Razed: National General Secretary Arun Singhbjp responsible for the Karnataka BJP Arun Singh said the party has plans to rebuild the temple which was recently destroyed in a village in Nanjangud Taluk Hucchagani.
Speaking to reporters at Davanagere on the sidelines of the BJP State Executive Meeting, Singh said the believers in building and preserving temples, did not destroy them.
“We will rebuild the temple in the same place,” he said.
He berated Congress to criticize the BJP government for demolition.
Calling the opposition leader Siddaramaiiah Anti-Hindu, Singh said: “I wonder since when he starts talking about the temple.
He always talks about the mosque.” BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel said the government was looking at land documents where the temple stood up And, if possible, it will be rebuilt at the same location.
This problem also emerged for discussion at the BJP Core Committee meeting and was decided to make efforts to protect the temple intended for demolition in the legal way.
