New Delhi: Kaseload Omicron India jumped from 115 to 145 in one day because 30 new infections were more detected in four countries on Saturday, even though most cases were without symptoms or showing mild symptoms.
Telangana reported a number of new cases on Saturday after 12 people were tested positively, taking the total country to 20.
Two of them had flown from countries stated “at risk”, while 10 came from other countries.
“Nine of them are foreigners,” said Dr.
G Srinivasa Rao, Director of Public Health.
Maharashtra continues to lead a count with 48 cases, adding eight new positive tests for a new variant on Saturday.
All have history of international travel, the authorities said.
Karnataka reports six more cases, with a total of 14.
The sixth is a daughter of between 13 and 18 years and one has traveled to England.
In Kerala, four cases of omicron were found, took the total country to 11.
All have traveled abroad-English, Tunisia, Tanzania, and Kenya.
