Mumbai: Maharashtra has reported a 25-day low in daily detection, while the case in Mumbai fell 18% over the past 24 hours.
The state reported 22,444 cases, the lowest since January 4 (18,466) and fell almost 20% since Saturday.
For the second day in a row the state reported a reduction in fatality of Covid-19 as well.
The country added 50 deaths on Sunday due to 61 on Saturday and 103 on Friday.
The city reported 1,160 fresh infections on Sunday, took the total case to 1,045,630.
BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal said that the daily level of peposititivity has dropped to 2.5%, much lower than 30% recorded during the third wave peak.
The city reported 10 Covid-19 deaths on Sunday, took the victim to 16,612.
Eight out of 10 patients had comorbidity, BMC said in a press release.
Daily hospitalization continues to see a stable decline.
A total of 160 patients were recognized throughout the Covid City Hospital on Sunday.
In the past week, an average of 212 people were hospitalized every day, a 50% decline from the previous week, when 483 people were received every day.
In the first week and second January, an average of 1,100 and 800 people got hospitalized every day.
The highest inpatient was seen on January 7, when 1,395 people took reception on one day.
BMC officials said on Sunday that almost 6% of the bed was occupied now.
In all states, several districts witnessed high detection both in their urban parts and peri-urban and rural areas.
Regency like Amravati witnessed a uniform surge in all regions.
Surgeon Civic Dr.
Shyamsundar Nikam said that they detected cases from everywhere, but the third wave increased had begun to see a decline.
“We have touched 3,500 active, which has now dropped to 2,723.
Our ponytitude level that has touched 35% around three – four days now down to 25%,” he said.
