MANGALURU: Authorities in Mangaluru city reserved a girl beneath parts of this Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Act, 2020, for breaking lockdown recommendations while hosting the marriage mehndi service of her niece in her home at Pavoor.
The incident happened on May 19 and came back to light following a movie of youths dance in the service without claiming social space or sporting masks was broadly shared on social networking.
Depending on the movie, Pavoor panchayat PDO Sudha Rani registered a complaint in the Konaje police channel.
Konaje authorities said Shobha along with her relatives chose to organise the marriage service from her niece Kaushala.
The bride is a resident of Padil-Maroli and’d lost her dad.
The mehndi occasion was organised in Shobha’s house with just 25 guests.
Shobha had acquired prior approval from district police to run the marriage and thus, the marriage was held May 20.
But a day prior to the marriage, the mehndi service had been held violating Covid-19 SOPs.
If found guilty, the accused might need to pay a fine ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 5 lakh or experience seven decades of imprisonment, authorities said.
On May 9, an identical breach was reported close to Adyar.
A marriage ceremony has been held at the existence of over 25 guests, not one of whom followed closely Covid-appropriate behavior.
Videos of childhood dance to the music of popular music had gone viral.
