Ahmedabad: A 20-year-old woman who studied at Homeopathy College in Gandhinagar, was squeezed with her nude pictures and videos by a man he knew through Facebook and Instagram, said his mother, 45, in a complaint submitted by Cybercrime City Police.
According to complaints, the 20-year-old woman, a resident of Danilimda, formed friendship with a man on Facebook about three years ago.
Then, they began contacting each other through Instagram and WhatsApp.
During that time, he used to talk to him through video calls, stating complaints.
In some calls, he took off clothes before the webcam, and also sent him the naked picture.
Complaints stated that the defendant began pressing the woman to send her nude picture.
The complainant accused that he used to threaten him to make the video and describe the virus if he did not give up on his demands.
Recently, he stopped talking to him after being accused of distributing his nude pictures and videos and sent them to some of his relatives.
According to FIR, the defendant also created a fake woman’s profile on Instagram and shared obscene images.
The woman said when her daughter told her about the defendant’s actions, she approached the Cybercrime police and filed a complaint under the information technology law.
The police have begun to collect evidence from the social media platform and begin to trace the charges in this case.
