Thiruvananthapuram: A 28-year-old woman, who allegedly gave poison to her three children and then consumed its own poison died on Wednesday night.
The victim has been identified as Sreeja Kumari from Kunnummukal near Kuttimood under the Venjarammood police station.
While his oldest daughter (9) continued to be under critical care, young people were seven and three more than danger, police said.
According to the police, Sreeja consumed rat poisons on Wednesday afternoon.
He was also suspected of poisoning children by giving them drinks mixed with poisons.
“He rushed to the hospital in Attingal by his mother after he vomited and fell unconscious,” said Venjarammood Station House Officer Inspector V Saiju Nath.
He added that family and police were not aware of the reasons behind Srelle’s actions.
He worked as a salespeople at a textile shop in Venjarammodu and established a relationship with a man after the separation from her husband, they said.
