Rajkot: A 52-year-old woman and her 22-year-old daughter allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves at their residence in Dhargam Savarkundla Taluka Village from Amreli District.
Hansa Khichadia who died (52) and his daughter Bhumika (22) was found depending on their home.
According to the police, the duo ended their lives because of the severe financial crisis and they could not give anything to new women who had just married patchouli.
“In accordance with tradition, a woman is given household items by her parents when she is married.
But patchouli’s parents cannot give anything because of the financial crisis.
They are depressed over this and taking extreme steps,” police said.
