Yavatmal: A woman shot her mother-in-law died with a revolver stolen from a neighbor, which was retired prison on Monday.
The police arrested the woman and recovered a revolver from under the kitchen rack.
In preliminary interrogation, the defendant claimed to have committed a crime.
The deceased was identified as Asha Porajwar, 68, a resident of Ward no.
2 from the city of Arni.
The defendant is Saroj Arvind Porajwar (28).
The accusation said he had made a decision to eliminate his mother-in-law as they often argued.
The defendant was a neighbor of retired prabhu gawhankar prison.
Revolver and seven rounds were found missing on January 21 and he had filed a complaint to the Arni police.
Now it has come to the light Saroj has stolen revolver and seven cartridges and save it quietly in his house.
On Monday, Asha was busy in Pooja, and no one else was at home.
Saroj shot Asha on the head and he died instantly.
Arni police were told that Asha slipped on a slippery floor and fell causing a head injury.
Asha’s body was sent to Yavatmal Gmch.
Post Mortem’s report confirmed the cause of death as a bullet injury, said Darwha Sdpo Aditya Mirkhelkar.
Meanwhile, Arni police were looking for Saroj’s house and found a revolver under the kitchen rack.
The police took Saroj to detention and interrogation he claimed to have committed a crime, told the officers of the Jadhav Pitambar Police Station.
Further investigation is active.
