Gurgaon: A 24-year-old woman died while her two friends were injured when a dumper truck crashed into their car in Ambedkar Chowk in sector 52 on Saturday and Sunday intervention, police said.
After the accident, the driver of the dumper escaped from the place, the police added.
At 1 o’clock in the morning on Sunday, Tanvi Madan asked his friend Bhavana Rajpal to pick him up from Nirvana’s country in Sector 50.
Bhavana drove to the place with Smriti Sachdeva Flatmate.
The women returned to their apartment at Sushant Lok when a truck hit their vehicle.
The impact was such that the car was upside down after being dragged for several meters, an officer said.
The women in a hurry to a private hospital where Smriti was declared dead.
The body has been submitted to the family after post-mortem.
The three women came from Sonipat.
Two days ago, Tanvi arrived in town from Sonipat to help Bhavana shop for her wedding.
Bhavana, who drove a car, worked with Smriti in a private company in Gurgaon.
The probe lights up to catch the driver, said an officer.
A pine has been submitted below in section 279 (rash driving), 337 (causing injured at the end of danger), 338 (causing a painful pain by the harm or personal safety of others), 304a (guilty murder) IPC.
