Athens: All 18 people on a British-flagged cruise ship that slumped Greek Island Milos had been saved and not injured, said Greece coast guard on Thursday.
The passengers and crew members, all Greeks, were picked up from the sea by passenger boats, nearby cargo ships and launches, and were being transported to the main port in Milos.
The coast guard spokesman initially said that 20 meters of the ship had brought 17 passengers.
Two helicopters, three coast guard patrol boats and other ships rushed to the area after they used the emergency services contacted on Thursday.
Not immediately clear why the cruise ship sank.
The weather conditions in the area are fair.
