Bengaluru: almost 24 hours after the Minister of Chief Justice of the Bukavaraj Bommai, in an emotional explosion, said there was no “post or position forever” sparked speculation of other changes to the leadership of the state, former Ministerial Minister BS Yediyurappa revealed he planned to tour other countries.
Various camps at BJP are reading bommai statements from their own perspectives, but most see it as an indication of a big change in front.
They showed that Yediyurappa made a similar statement before he was replaced as CM in July.
“In addition to political reasons, health problems have brought the position of head minister to be focused,” said a BJP senior official.
“BOMMAI has tears of knee membranes that need long maintenance.
High commands are weighing options and there may be some clarity about the immediate plan.” BOMMAI’s emotional speech on Sunday, coincides with Yediyurappa’s reiteration on the intention to tour the country “to strengthen the party support base “Ahead of a series of elections, including Zilla polls and Panchayat Taluk.
He said he would start the tour immediately after the Beleagavi session ended.
Yediyurappa previously announced a similar tour immediately after the Bommai was anointed cm, but the high command, was alert by installing two power centers in the state, allowing the tour under collective leadership after many delays.
Yediyurappa is not allowed to solo performances.
But setbacks in MLC and Bypoll polls in Hangal seemed to have high thought of thought alternative strategies for assembly polls in 2023.
Yediyurappa camp members argue that bringing back strong people cannot be avoided and he must be allowed to tour the country.
“Yediyurappa is a mass leader and tour of his country will help the party consolidate the votes ahead of the ZP, TP and assembly polls.
Because BJP has the potential to win a comfortable majority, we don’t want to lose the opportunity,” Hassan Mla Preetham J Gowda said.
Meanwhile, the former Minister of Main Jagadish Shettar met Yediyurappa, an event that triggered more speculation.
The source said the possibility is that Shettar, a Lingayat leader, can be made as President of BJP State and Vokkaliga can be chosen for POS CM.
However, Shettar said: “The meeting with Yediyurappa is routine.
I do not want to comment on political problems at this stage.”
