Chennai: BJP President K Annamalai on Saturday condemned the Tamil Nadu government for the arrest of YouTuber Maridhas and BJP supporters to post their social media and issue a warning to the state government that “there is a limit for all.” He said that nothing in the country was the police who requested the Law Goonda to post social media.
“There is a limit of patience (we).
I gave a warning to the Tamil Nadu government.
The government has a brand of people as Goondalas and ordered it under the laws of Goonda to post a tweet.
This has never happened in any state,” Annamalai told reporters at The Head of the Kamalalaya Party Head Office after paying tribute to the portrait of the poet Bharathiyar to mark the 139th birth birthday celebration.
BJP in power in 17 states and police from anywhere in the country can submit cases and take actions under the provisions of the CRPC based on complaints, he said to give a threat to the powerful partymen.
They can make arrests, he said and added, “The state police and the powerful DMK government must understand this.
I asked the Government of TN not to test our patience.” He added that the Tamil Nadu police were selective in taking action because the department did not follow up on complaints proposed by his party regarding controversial social media posts.
