Johannesburg: Former President Jacob Zuma in South Africa, was accused of regulating the systematic deprivation of government cash during his reign, launching a new book on Sunday where he intends to “to a direct record set”.
Entitled “Jacob Zuma spoke”, the book came after a 79-year-old child was released from prison in September due to poor health, only two months in a sentence of 15 months because he continued to refuse to arise before corruption in 2009- 18 presidency.
Zuma spokesman Mzwanele Manya said the book could be purchased for 300 rand ($ 19) – or 1,000 rand ($ 62) for a signed copy – in “car boot sales” in Johannesburg on Sunday.
Manyyi and the daughter of former President Dudu Zuma-Sambudla will be at McDonald’s on the outskirts of the upper class of Sandton who sell the books, he tweeted.
“First 1, first served,” he added.
Zuma was found guilty in June after refusing to obey the court order to appear before the Commission investigated the “state capture” – sucking national assets, which occurred on a massive scale under its nine-year term office.
Initially prison in July triggered a wave of unprecedented violence where more than 350 people were killed in their homes in KwaZulu-Natal and Johannesburg’s financial hub.
Since it was released on medical conditional release, Zuma had returned to the estate of $ 17 million in Rural Nkandla.
He looked healthy in the video appearance on Friday promoting the launch of the book.
In the video he attacked “the untruth of the work we have done”, emphasizing the importance of the community “to find out what happened”.
“There is no point in making a story because you have a powerful machine to do it,” he said, sitting in front of a stack of books, Arms Crossed and Smiling.
Critics accused the former president using sick health as a reason to further delay corruption trials compiled related to the purchase of 1999 weapons from five European companies.
The vice president at the time, Zuma was accused of pocketing bribes from the French defense giant Thales and faced 16 charges of fraud, graft and extortion.
He has repeatedly claimed the justice system hunting him for political motives.
“Jacob Zuma spoke”, written in a third person, containing the testimony of the former allies who had been silent, Manyyi’s spokesman said.
“All have been said about the presidency of Jacob Zuma.
Lots of lies, many unbelievers have been told.
This book is about setting a direct record,” he said.
