New Delhi: Health Secretary Union Rajesh Bhushan on Thursday said the Covid-19 vaccine Zydus Cadila will soon be introduced in the national vaccination program.
He spoke at a briefing held by the government about the actions taken, preparedness and renewal related to other Covid in India.
Zycov-D vaccine is freely produced by Zydus Cadila based in Ahmedabad.
This vaccine has received authorization of emergency use (EUA) which will be given to children from the age group 12 to 18 years.
“The Zydus Cadila vaccine will not be brought in the market in the short term, but will be part of Covid-India.
19 Vaccination programs,” said Health Secretary on Thursday.

Earlier this month, members of Niti Aayog (Health) V K Paul said that Zycov-D could be available under the national vaccination program as early as October.
