Beleagavi: Sleuggells of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested two police officers in response to red when they received bribes at the Khanapur police station at night on Wednesday.
The two police officers were allegedly demanding bribes from Parashurama, which they threatened to order in the gambling case, if he refused to pay them.
Siddu Macare and Vittal Chippkaltti met Parashurama in a hotel, where they demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000.
Parashurama then approached ACB, said the BS Nemagouda police supervisor.
“Parashurama is a native of Beleagavi and came to Khanapur when he fell with the police.
We put the trp for the duo that gave Parashurama a number of Rs 15,000,” said Nemagouda, about operations.
