Prayagraj: Team with the Branch of Crime and Police Nawabanj on Thursday arrested three people and seized Revolver Webley from 0.32 bore (No A-60341 and made in England Mark IV), one revolver of 7.62 mm (not B-0092), 10 Living cartridges from various drills and bikes from their ownership.
The people arrested were identified as Nizam of Saraon, Mohd Wahid from Lucknow and Chote aka Rahmat Ullah from Pratapgarh Regency.
Police said a group of unknown criminals had stolen five revolvers 0.32 drill, three DBBLS 0.12 bore, one 0.315 bore Rifle and 695 cartridges from Sushila Gun House located in Lalgopalganj under the boundaries of the Nawabganj police station on December 9, 2020.
Following incidents, cases under Section 457 and 380 IPC registered.
On May 8 this year, Pratapgarh police have arrested five people and won two DBBL weapons and 35 cartridges from their ownership.
On May 11, the Joint Team of SOG and Police Nawabganjan also arrested three more people in connection with the case of pistol house theft.
Police said nizam and Mohd Wahid respectively registered against them in various police stations, Chote aka Rahmat Ullah was also desirable in connection with four criminal cases.
