Gadag: The police have arrested four people on charges of attacking two young men, one of them died after filing a police complaint at Munday Evening.
The dead young man has been identified as a 19-year-old Sameer Shahapur.
He and another young man, Shamshir Pathhan, was attacked by a knife by Praveen, Malikarjun Hiratha Gundya and 7-8 others, according to Sameer’s complaint.
Sameer and Shamshir were treated at Kims Hospital in Hubballi but Sameer gave up on injury.
Police Nargund said both were attacked when they were on a bicycle in Siddanabhavi Oni.
The police said the old competition was the reason behind a violation.
“We have caught four people and searches for others,” said a police source.
