4 years, 4.5L is still waiting for a ration card throughout the k’taka

Hubballi: Since the beginning of 2017-18 until the beginning of the current fiscal year, more than 4.5 lakh people have submitted a ration card in Karnataka.
Although officials have cleared nearly 60% of this application – 2.7 lakh – no one has been issued, falsifying applicants.
The delay in the issuance of a ration card only adds a list of problems that have long been in the less capable of August 2021.
But the two waves of the pandemic delay the process.
On December 17, 2021, the Department of Civil Service Commissioner Shamla Iqbal issued orders to officials in all districts, asking them to issue a ration card to those whose applications had been cleaned.
However, officials in many districts, pointing to the long queue in front of the office, have stated their helplessness in starting the process.
In the Dharwad district, for example, the authorities issued a card to families who deal with emergencies, but only after food inspectors.
And other officials have verified applicant credentials.
