Prasagraj: In recognition of high research standards being carried out at the University of Allahabad, Stanford University (US) has included eight scientists from the institution to the list of 2% of the top scientists in the world.
This list was released by a world-famous university a few days ago.
Of the eight scientists who showed the top 2 percent list included three of the AU biochemistry departments including Prof.

Abhay Pandey and Prof.
Si Rizvi, two of the Botany Department including Profade Prasad and each Prof.
Chauhan from the Department of Science (Prof.
Ravindra Dhar), Kentral Oceanography Center (Assistant Professor Sudhir Singh) and the Chemistry Department (Prof.

This report was prepared by Prof.

A total of 3,352 Indian researchers found a place in this list representing Indian valuable impacts on the global research platform, said Au Dean (Research and Development) Prof.
Si Rizvi.
Speaking with Toi, Prof.
Rizvi added that the inclusion of eight faculty members in the coveted list was a great achievement for AU who wrestled with a large number of empty faculty positions.
Universities are preparing a conducive environment for research and researchers are given high-class facilities to carry out their work in the latest research sector.
To provide a boost for research, the university has instituted two prestigious awards; The Dronacharya award was given to faculty members from the rank of assistant professor) and the M N Saha award for the Best Research Bachelor in Science and Humanities.
The two awards will be announced during the meeting in front of the Minister of Education, Rizvi said.
It should be mentioned that despite the decline in faculty strength, the research output of this university should be exemplary.
Data from Scopus shows that the impact of quotes from research papers published from the University of Allahabad is 0.99.
It should be noted that the average value of the world is 1.
This data shows that the quality of research at the University of Allahabad is equivalent to world standards.
The number of research papers published (indexed in Scopus) from the University of Allahabad during the 2016-20 period was 1728, and the H-H index of the university was 39 which was very good, told the dean, research and development.
A recent achievement from the University of Allahabad will certainly be an inspiration for young faculty and research scholars, adding Prof.
Rizvi.
