Manchester: Wicketkeeper-Batsman Jos Buttler and Leach’s left arm spinner on Tuesday returned to British forces for the fifth and last test against India as the host to save the series.
Buttler has missed the fourth test because of the birth of his second child.
India leads the 2-1 draw after a famous victory in the Oval on Monday.
“Batsman Sam Billings, which is included in the fourth test team, has returned to Kent,” ECB said in a statement.
England, who has not lost the test series to India at home since 2007, is under pressure to save the rubber five matches here.
There is a good chance that Pacer Mark Woods will return to play eleven at James Anderson, who can rest after displaying in four matches.
