LONDON: Former West Indies Cricketer Michael Holding has announced his retirement as a cricket commentator on Wednesday, reported Espncricinfo.
Holding is a member of the SKY Sports Comment Panel for more than 20 years.
West Indian legend has reflected his retirement over the past year.
“I’m not too sure how far 2020 I will go with comments.
I can’t see myself further on the road in my Seusian.
I’m 66 years old now, I’m not 36, 46 or 56,” he has said at the BBC radio talks.
“I told [Sky] that I could not commit more than a year at once.
If this year is completely destroyed, I might have to think about 2021 because I can’t just walk from the sky, a company that has been done.
So good for I, “he added.
Holding, who bid on Adieu to Cricket International in 1987, was highly respected because of its famous analysis and sharp insight.
The Western Hindend legend represents the Caribbean team in 60 tests and 102 odi, and has 391 Wicket International with its name.
