PCB reaches to SLC and BCB for short tours

Karachi: Pakistani cricket boards have reached Sri Lanka and Bangladesh for a short series in this country to redeem the cancellation of the tour of New Zealand but because players from the two countries have a previous commitment, there is no planned series.
CEO of PCB, Wasim Khan said Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) showed the willingness to play in Pakistan but there was little time in their hands to send their team.
“Our chairman spoke to them and explored the possibility of a short tour and they were very receptive but they showed that it was very difficult for them to change their confirmed plans and also some of their players were scattered,” he said.
“They showed a strong will but because a short period of time was impossible for them to place a tour because they had a previous plan for the World Cup,” he said.
New Zealand left their tour in Pakistan on Friday by quoting security threats to their team, hours before the first ODI must be played in Rawalpindi.
Kiwi has reached Dubai after taking rented flight from Islamabad.
Wasim Khan also put aside the possibility of boycotting the T20 World Cup match against New Zealand but explained that they believed New Zealand had treats Pakistan’s cricket with disrespectful and leaving marks with unilaterally leaving the tour.
“We have a real problem in world cricket if the threat that is felt cannot be discussed at the level of government or intelligence and the team can leave the tour unilaterally,” he said.
He confirmed Pakistan will take the problem of inequality in the world cricket at the international cricket level in accordance with it, there must be a level of playing levels for all member countries.
“Because this is a bilateral series, there is little hope to get compensation from NZ Cricket unless we go to the dispute settlement committee.” What we can do is ensure at the ICC board level that doesn’t happen again.
We will have a dialogue and discussion full of them about the process for such a situation, “he said.
