A group of 22 women related to three Swadaya groups (SHG) are preparing colorful designers and Diyas (soil pots), flower pots and idols with the help of cow manure and machines.
Women have prepared decorative items using cow dung more than 2,500 cows currently take refuge in Kanha Gaushala in the village of Janwa Block Shankargarh in the Trans-Yamuna Pocket of the Prasagraj District.
Women’s volunteers aim to prepare about one Diyas lakh and 50,000 flower pots of three different sizes in front of Diwali with the help of machines.
District Manager (Mission of National Rural Livelihood) Amit Shukla told TII, “More than 30 women related to three self-help groups formed Diya designers and flower pots with the help of cow manure.” He added that this time, we have brought a special machine to form a Diyas and flower pot in Kanha Gaushala in the Shankargarh block.
He further added, “Cow manure of more than 2,500 cows shelter in Kanha Gaushala will be used by this volunteer and they will get good profits.
Demand for traditional Diyas and Gamla made of cow dung have poured from various parts of the country.
Besides that , women associated with other self-help groups form traditional DIYAS and Lord Ganesh designers and Lord Ganesh and Dewi Laxmi and candles in the Bahadurpur and Bahariy Blocks.
