Rajkot: Street vendors who sell non-vegetarian foods have started to face heat after Rajkot and Vadodara Civic Bodies initiated the movement.
On Friday, the Permanent Committee of the Municipal Bhavnagar corporation decided to remove all carts that sell eggs and non-vegetable food from public roads.
Dhiru Dhameliya, Chairperson, Standing Committee said, “At the Friday meeting, we have decided to clean the cart selling eggs, fish, chicken and mutton from public roads, ring roads, parks, schools and religious places.” The Committee has decided to form a health and real official team to complete this task and remove this street vendor.
They also seek police protection for this.
The team will survey and warn the owner of the basket of legal action in the next two days.
