Haveri: Chidanand, a police inspector attached to the female police station here, was suspended after video and audio clips that showed him guilty with a woman became viral.
S Ravi, Eastern Range Davanagere IGP issued a suspension order on Saturday and Haveri SP Hanumantharaya relieved Chidanand from the service.
Recently video and audio clips from the WhatsApp conversation between Chidanand and the victims became viral.
In this clip, the inspector looks guilty with the woman and asks her to send her nude video and seek sexual assistance.
He made a video call to the victim from his bathroom and when he undressed.
The victim objected to the CPI bid and he denied following his instructions.
The woman has submitted a Pocso case after her daughter disappeared.
Probes have begun against Chidanand based on WhatsApp videos and audio clips.
Previously, the IGP was looking for a detailed report from Haveri SP and the last one sent the details of the accusations made by five women against Chidanand.
Senior officers have now issued orders to start legal action against the police.
According to sources, Chidanand allegedly conducted bad behavior and harassed five women in the Haveri district.
Interestingly, all women come into contact with him when they visit the female police station to seek justice and these women have accused to deny their sexual progress.
Sometimes, the CPI is thought to threaten women if they do not obey their demands.
