Dharwad: Rotary Club of Dharwad Central Collent with the Rotary Foundation and Tata Marcopolo has built a hi-tech toilet block in four government schools in the Dharwad countryside.
The toilet block was built with the estimated cost of RS 32 Lakh.
The first toilet block was inaugurated at the Mummigatti government school on the outskirts of Dharwad by Kalghatgi MLA C M Nimbannavar on Friday.
MLA appreciates the efforts of Rotary and Tata Marcopopolo in improving basic facilities in government schools.
He said this would help students instill good hygienic practices and significantly help improve the health of students.
Rotary Assistant Governor and Pediatrician Dr.
Kavan Deshpande said the project was taken under the Rotary washing project.
This is synchronous with the call given by the Prime Minister Modi for Swatch Bharath Abhiyan.
