Dubai: India, Australia and England are among 17 member countries to express their interest in accommodating the International Ball Cricket (ICC) event during the next eight-year tournament from 2024-2031, the global government agency said on Monday.
According to the previous PTI report, BCCI last month decided to bid on three global events – including two World Cups in a shorter format – during the next cycle starting from 2024, but the Indian Council was not interested in paying any hosting fees.

BCCI made a decision during the last Apex Board meeting.
It is based that BCCI will bid on a championship trophy, the T20 World Cup and the 50 World Cup above.
Following the expansion for the tauntary program in the next cycle, the ICC has begun the process to identify hosts for the men’s white ball event which will be held post 2023.
Hosting the final of the ICC World Championship and ICC clothing and under-19 events in the new cycle will be determined in a separate process that will be determined Lasted later this year, ICC said in a press release.
Eight ODI and T20 men, consisting of two World Cup ODI men, four World Cup T20 men and two ICC Champion Cups, will be staged from the cycle of 2024-2031 and members are invited to submit the initial technical proposal as a potential host.
This includes submission of individual countries and joint proposals.
Early submission has been received from Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, Malaysia, Namibia, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Scotland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, UAE, USA and Zimbabwe.

Allardice added, “We will now move forward to the second phase of the process at which members will provide a more detailed proposal before the ICC board makes a decision about our future host this year.”
