Melbourne: Australia Captain Meg Lanning wants a women’s test for a five-day contest, like that for their male colleagues, to get more results and quote the recent rainfall rainfall game between India and Britain to call for change.
Speaking to the media here, Lanning said the current four-day test system for women reduced the possibility of direct results especially if the weather played spoilsport.
“I thought it might make sense to take it out up to five days, we saw in the last two, our test match was playing against England and who recently with England and India that there was a little rain around and once it happened, it made it quite difficult To get results, “he said.
“So I thought pushing out five days made a lot of reasonable and I thought you would get more results and then the team pushed for it.” Lanning believes India women playing overseas play matches is a great advertisement for women’s cricket and hopes that the contest of his upcoming team against the Mithali Raj team will be a regular feature and not just a “one-off” affair.
The Indian women’s team is currently traveling around England where they share appreciation in the test alone and win the last match of the Three-Odi series.
Both parties will now die in the T20 series three matches starting July 9 in Northampton.
After England Sojourn, Indians will travel to Australia in September to play three Odis and as many T20i as possible beside their girl’s night test in Perth starting September 30.
“Very exciting that they have (India) agree to play in a test match and they are very willing to do so after playing English too,” Lanning said.
“I think it will only advance the game and increase awareness of the game here and in India also what I think is a very important part of it.” Skipper Australia World Cup Winner 29 years personally can’t wait to tour India for test involvement.
“Personally I want to play test matches in India.
I think it will be a great test and a very good challenge and something I like happening in the future is not too far away.” Hopefully, this test match is part.

The last Indian woman played a test match against Australia in February 2006 at the Oval Adelaide won by the host.
