MELBOURNE: Big Bash League (BBL) will continue to be assessed on its ability to attract new fans to the game, even though the T20 event plays a role in exploring new talents for the national team, said the Head of the Alistair Dobson tournament on Wednesday.
Dobson’s comments came after the Australian Cricket launched a schedule for the 11th season of the BBL, starting in December.
“I will not comment on the national team.
Our judgment about BBL is far more around fans and entertainment propositions.
It is always about fans and new children fall in love with cricket,” Dobson said at that age.
