Colombo: Former Captain and Wicketkeeper-Batsman Kusal Perera has been ruled out of all series of overs limited to India while Binura Fernando’s fast bowler will not be available to ODI against India due to injury, said Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Friday.
While the pera came out with the right shoulder sprains, SLC said Fernando was sprained his left ankle during the training.
“The coal of Janith Perera will not be able to take part in ODI and the T20i series against India due to injury.
The goalkeeper’s batsman suffered the right shoulder sprains during the training,” SLC said in a statement.
“Fast bowler Binura Fernando drove his ankle during the training session held yesterday (July 15, 2021).
It’s lateral ligament sprains.
Fernando will not be available for the ODI series of Indian tours in Sri Lanka,” he added.
The six-match series began with the first of three odi on July 18.
