Prasagraj: In the midst of the threat of the third wave of the third infection that might be expected to attack anytime, there was a large invasion of worshipers who looked forward to the temple on the occasion of the first Monday in the last month of Shrawan which was considered as one of the most profitable days in the Hindu calendar.
Lord Shiva Temple in all cities including Mankameshwar, Someshwar Mahadev and Padila Mahadev watched a long queue of worshipers waiting for their turn to offer prayers to God Shiva.
Interestingly, cleaners, masks and social distance were also observed in most temples on the day when City reported as many as 10 positive Covid cases in the last 24 hours.
The authority of the temple actually has strict steps to follow the Covid-19 guidelines.
The temple committee volunteer seems to record the temperature of worshipers and maintain social distance in temples in the city.
No worshiper without a mask is allowed to enter the temple.
Barricading was heavy by police around the leading Shiva Kemi Temple including mankameshwar, and Padila Mahadev helped the police and the temple authority to arrange the crowd.
There is an entry point and separate out and the CCTV set network keeps a constant watch on worshipers.
Uniformed police and ordinary fabrics are also deployed to help the Temple Management Committee to maintain social distance.
Male and female police duties are assigned to all temples.
Imam Chief of Mankameshwar Temple, Brahmachari Sridharan and told TII, “Stress has been put to maintain social distance in the temple and not many people permitted once to pray next to Shivling.” He further added, wearing mandatory masks and worshipers were asked to stand in a painted circle on the temple campus floor to maintain social distance between them.
The Temple Management Committee has also put up banners to create awareness among the masses considering the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Head of the Imam also claimed that there was a separate entry point and out for men and women.
In addition, heavy barricades have helped the police to regulate the power of a crowd of about 500 meters from the temple.
